Finished! The Slave Girl Chronicles, Part III, "The New Order," is out the door!

Wow, finished much earlier today than expected. I've only been working for a few hours today, and I just sent the rough draft of The Slave Girl Chronicles: Part III, "The New Order" out the door to a handful of beta readers who I hope will tell me whether it sucks or not, lol. I've seesawed back and forth with this book so much, it's kind of funny...fluctuating between thinking it's the best of the 3 in the series so far, and worrying that the ending doesn't work, that some of the character twists will throw people too much, etc.

Now, I will get some idea of which end of that spectrum is closest to the truth...whether I want to or not, haha.

In the meantime, I should probably go outside a bit. It's cold and foggy today in San Francisco, but I need to stretch my legs. I kind of forgot that I tend to not sleep when I don't get enough exercise, which then makes me pretty weird...I was up until 4am last night because I spent the day writing and didn't move around enough, which is never a good habit for me to get into, because it will screw up my whole sleeping and waking schedule.

Another good reason to get a lot of my work done in coffee shops...all the ones I like require a minimum of 10-20 blocks of walking, and once I'm out and about, I tend to walk a lot more than that, just because I'm a bit of a walking sort anyway, like my father, I suppose.

Anyway, let me know if you want to be on the list of beta readers for this one! I just sent the rough mss out to a group of folks, but other opinions are always welcome! About all I can offer for your time is a copy of the ebook when it's finished, and my eternal thanks, but I'll be doing some giveaways too around the series, probably within the next few weeks.

The second book in the series (The Slave Girl Chronicles: Part II, "The Royals") is actually in the process of being made into an audio book right now, (the first book in the series, The Slave Girl Chronicles: Part I, "The Culling," can already be purchased as an audiobook, either on Amazon or in the iTunes store), so we're going to do some promo around that when it gets released as well.

Well, sigh...that's it for now.

Time to put on my strolling shoes, and go blink up at that big, yellow orb in the sky that everyone keeps talking about...

  1. Haha, that's good, because I just sent to you with a plea to beta read. :) No obligation of course...I actually started tinkering with AW 6 today, too. Fear of committing, ha...but I think I'm going to take the plunge.
